Power of attorney from abroad — the practical part
A power of attorney is the document that lets a Turkish lawyer act in your name. You can grant one without travelling to Türkiye, by one of two routes:
- At a Turkish consulate or embassy. The consulate in your country can issue a Turkish power of attorney directly, in Turkish, ready to use. You attend in person with your passport; we prepare the text and the list of powers in advance.
- By a local notary, then apostille. A notary where you live issues the document, you have it apostilled (or legalised, for non-apostille countries) and translated into Turkish. We tell you which route is quicker and cheaper for your jurisdiction.
We give you the precise scope to authorise — broad enough to handle your matter, no broader — so you stay in control of what we can and cannot do.
In the language you actually speak
We work in English, Turkish, French, Russian and Chinese. You read every assessment, document and decision in your own language, and you deal with the same lawyer throughout — not a call centre and not a rotating cast of juniors.
Transparent, fixed fees
Wherever the matter allows, we agree a fixed or capped fee in writing before any work starts, so you know the cost up front with no hourly surprises. You decide whether to proceed with the full picture in front of you.
